Darby Cox (10th grade) has been avidly pursuing
photography since eighth-grade art class when she was first introduced to film
photography. She shoots mostly in film which she processes and develops in her
own darkroom. Darby’s work has been catching the eye of lots of people recently
and she has been invited to hang her work in several local galleries. Darby is
currently displaying her work at Atelier Gallery on Lexington Avenue in downtown Asheville until the
end of May. She shares the gallery space with friend and fellow photographer,
Julia Alexander. Darby’s work will also be shown at Malaprop’s Bookstore
throughout the month of February and at Izzy’s Coffee Den on Lexington Avenue during the month of
April.
