The first graders enjoyed Appalachian Day last Friday. They dressed up as pioneers, wrote on "slate" tablets, played old-fashion games, made simple toys, listened to some live fiddle music, and experienced a little of life in the good old days.

The Key Lower School students enjoyed a pajama day. How often does one get to come to school right out of bed? A highlight of their day was reading by flashlight.

The seventh graders got together with their second-grade buddies this week and enjoyed getting to know each other a little better. Some of these pairs have been matched for four years.

Speed-Stacker Champs. These kids set some new records yesterday in Speed Stacking, a "sport' where competitors get to stack cups as quickly as they can. And yes, there is an art to doing this gracefully. These lower school students were on campus yesterday during parent conferences. (Photo by Jackson Krupnick.)

Eighth-grade science students were studying aerodynamics by designing, building, and testing parachutes made from grocery store bags. Mr. Peisner was timing them today to see which parachute would take the longest time to land on the floor.

And it was Spirit Day in the Upper School today. Students were encouraged to dress in the school colors of red, white, and blue. These two students were some of the best!
