Quick Pix As always, it has been a busy week at Carolina Day. Lower School students don't have all the fun! This week has been Sprit Week in the Upper School. Each day students have been challenged with a different spirit-building opportunity. Monday was pajama day, Tuesday was "dress as the opposite gender day," and today was "Tacky Day." These photos will give you a taste of our creative upper school students. This first set of photos is from "opposite gender" day.
And these photos are from today's Tacky Day. Can you tell?
Today was also Ms. Sims's annual Canterbury Trek. Her senior English students dressed in character, acted out performances, and walked across campus in search of Canterbury. They carried their victuals with them and dined along the way.
The Upper School can't have all the fun! Eighth graders have been designing, building, and testing rockets on the field the past couple of weeks. The rockets are powered by air pressure pumped into water-filled two-liter plastic bottles. Students time how long their rockets stay airborne. And if they don't work, it's back to the drawing board.
