As always, it has been a busy week at Carolina Day.
Here's just a sampling of some of what you might have missed.

It was Egyptian Day in the first grade last Friday. Students have been studying ancient Egypt and celebrated with a day of activities.

They culminated their day with the famous first-grade mummy wrap.

The entire school came together last week for a Super Fan Play Day. Everyone was served a hot dog lunch with all the trimmings. There was also time to play with buddies and visit with friends.

Poet Tom Daley was on campus to perform some of his works as a continuation of Arts Alive! week. He also led a workshop in poetry writing for a group of upper school students. These brave students read one of their original poems and then listened while classmates and Mr. Daley critiqued.

The Middle School challenged students to ride their bikes or walk to school one day last week. Over 65 students were joined by teachers and parents in their trek from various starting points in Biltmore Forest. The Biltmore Forest Police Department provided an escort. Read more in the upcoming June issue of Bell Notes.

The Upper School Chorus, under the direction of Lee Thomas, presented their final concert of the year on Monday evening. The well-rehearsed chorus presented a full program entitled "Music From the Stage."
