As always, it has been a busy few days at Carolina Day.
Here's just a sampling of some of what you might have missed.

This morning the lower school students were treated to an assembly on integrity by the fifth graders and their kindergarten buddies, the second graders, and the third graders.

The fifth graders read a series of short stories which were acted out by their younger buddies. The audience then got to vote by giving a cheer or the "thumbs down" sign if the story showed integrity or not. It got to be a lively assembly.

At the end of the program, Mrs. Corbin and the fifth graders led the audience in the lower school's "integrity" song.

The excitement is building in the Middle School as a large cast and crew are preparing for their production of the musical, Once on This Island, Jr. The students have moved from rehearsing in the music room to the stage.

The musical will be presented on Thursday morning, January 25 for the students with the big evening performance set for Friday, January 26. Curtain rises at 7 P.M.

Make plans to see the show.

Upper school teacher Joanne Bartsch dons many hats around school. But you might not know she doubles as a Taekwondo instructor for students of all divisions. Mrs. Bartsch, who herself is a black belt, teaches Taekwondo as a physical education course for upper school students--and offers classes for younger students after school. Here's most of her crew.

Here are some of her after-school kids, adoringly referred to as "Little Ninjas."
