Upper School Faculty - Kay St. Clair
Kay St. Clair Upper School Librarian Kay St. Clair became the CDS Upper School librarian in the fall of 2000. Prior to moving to North Carolina, she was the assistant library director at a liberal arts college in her native Texas. She was also a reference librarian at Houston Public Library. Before becoming a librarian, she was a professional actor. She received her BA in Theatre from Trinity University in San Antonio and her MS in Library Science from The University of North Texas. Ms. St. Clair maintains the CDS Library web page at http://www.cdschool.org/library/LibraryHome.htm . Please visit there for your researching pleasure. The passwords for the subscription databases are available at the library. Ms. St. Clair teaches a research unit on finding, evaluating, and using information resources in ninth grade English as well as individual class sessions tailored to class projects and papers. Helpsheets for these classes are posted on the library web site. Ms. St. Clair also performs other library duties such as selecting and processing books and other materials to support the curriculum and enhance enjoyment of literature and learning. The most important thing to know about the library: ASK FOR HELP! Even if I look busy, I’m probably reading my 200th book review of the day and would welcome the break! My email address is kstclair@cdschool.org .
