Middle School Faculty - Dru Alexander

Biography

I have been a member of the Carolina Day School "family" since 1998, when my two daughters, Julia and Annie, began Pre-Kindergarten and Kindergarten. In 2002 I became a faculty member. I have a bachelor’s degree in literature/creative writing from UNC-Asheville, and I currently teach Language Arts and Social Studies in 7th grade. I enjoy the challenges that come with this job, because the students are creative, and their enthusiasm energizes me. On a personal note, I love to travel, hike, take photographs, and make digital slideshows. Please feel free to contact me on any issues concerning your child.
