Cats on the track this afternoon against Asheville School and Christ School.

The Cats had a great showing last week in their first meet - it’s a great day to run!

 Field Events begin at 400pm at the Asheville School track.

The Cats opened up their 2008 track season on Friday at the Asheville School Invitational. Competing against runners from Asheville School, Christ School and Rabun Gap, the Cats held their own against significantly larger teams.

Here are our top finishers on Friday:

Taylor Black - 4th in discus

Taylor Lantrip - 5th in shot

Will Jordan - 3rd in 1600m and 2nd in 3200m

Nick Wood - 2nd in 400m

Thomas Nailen - 3rd in 800m

Hannah Goss - 1st in 1600m and 1st in 800m

Brennan Harlan - 2nd in 1600m and 2nd in 800m

Kyra Peterson - 3rd in 400m

Hope Peterson - 5th in 200m

AZ Bozeman - 1st in 3200m

The Cats face Asheville School this afternoon in baseball, track, soccer, and tennis. Here are the game times:

It is important to note that we are expecting thunder storms this afternoon. A decision will be made at @ 200pm regarding game status.

As earlier reported, the Lady Cats will not compete in the ACA Mountain Jamboree Soccer Tourney.

The Golf, Track, Tennis , and MS Soccer teams all begin practice today. Here’s to a great spring season.

Track Practice begins Monday, March 3rd at 345pm for all students in grades 7-12. The first track practice will last approximately one hour. A complete practice schedule will be available on Wednesday of next week.
