Michaela Wolfe to sign NIL tomorrow

Senior swimmer Michaela Wolfe will sign a National Letter of Intent to swim collegiately at Hillsdale College in Michigan tomorrow at 1230p in the upper school. Michaela, a team captain and a CAA All-Conference Performer last season, willbe joined by her friends and family during this special moment.

Wolfe Signs at Hillsdale

Congratulations to Michaela Wolfe! Michaela has signed a National Letter of Intent to swim at NCAA Division II Hillsdale College in Hillsdale, Michigan.

We’ll have more to follow on this wonderful accomplishment in the coming days.

Carolina Day swimmers made history on Monday at the STate meet in Cary, NC by placing two swimmers in the top three in four separate individual events. Leading the team was Jonathan Key who placed second in the 100 yd breassttroke (1:05.56) and third in the 500 free with a personal best of 5:04.51. Michaela Wolfe also had outstanding performances by placing third in the 200 yard freestyle (2:01.24) and third in the 500 free (5:28.35).

Middle school standout Isabelle Potts had excellent performances in the 200 free (2:14.65) and 500 free (5:59.22), scoring points for the team by placing 8th and 5th, respectively. The girls 200 medley relay of Lydia Potts, Jody Heck, Michaela Wolfe,and Isabelle Potts placed a very respectable 8th place (2:10.67). The girls 200 free relay of Wolfe, Potts, Potts, and Paige Salsman also had an outstanding 7th place finish with a time of 1:53.29. With their oustanding performances, the girls placed 9th overall and the boys placed 10th.

OOPS - Swim Results Are Wrong

The swim results posted yesterday were incorrect! We posted the psych sheets rather than the official scoring from the meet. We will correct this mistake this morning - check back for the official results. The one thing we did not get incorrect? The Cats had a great meet and represented the school well! Go, Cats!

Student-Athletes to Evaluate Coaches

Beginning this week, student-athletes  will have the opportunity to evaluate their experinces during the recently completed winter athletic season. A brain-child of the Student Athletic Advisory Committee, these evaluations serve as a valuable tool for our coaches, student-athletes, and administrators.

Team evaluations will be sent out this week to the parents of all or student-athletes that participated in our winter offerings. The evaluations are used by the athletic department and coaching staff in their end of season review(s) for each sport. We ask that all evaluations be returned to the athletic department as soon as possible. Please note that all evaluations should be anonymous. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact the Carolina Day School Athletic Department.

Girls 200 Yard Freestyle - Wolfe Finishes 4 out of 42 with 2:05:38;Potts finishes 9 out of 42 with 2:16:10.

Girls 50 Yard Freestyle: Heck finishes 41 of 101 with 31:18; Salsman finishes 44 out of 101 with 31:32.

Girls 100 Yard Freestyle: Potts, L., finishes 15 of 84 with 1:05:94.

Girls 500 Yard Freestyle: Wolfe finishes 3 of 14 with 5:31:91; Potts finishes 6 of 14 with 6:05.23
