A great night for Cat Athletics as we continue to earn big awards from our peers across Western North Carolina. In front of US Representative Heath Schuler and 1000 of our closest friends, our tennis team was awarded the Tommy Love Memorial Award for their excellent performance as a 1a/2a Olympic Sport Team. This is the second year in a row in which our tennis team has been honored.

In addition to our tennis team being recognized, Marley Burns (CDS ‘07) was awarded the Top Female Athlete in an Olympic Sport for her accomplishments during alst year’s track season. Marley is currently a runner at Wake Forest University in Winston-Salem.

Congratulations not only to our two award winners but also to each and every student-athlete at CDS. You’re all leaving a rich legacy for our future Cats!
