Wildcats participate in Reynolds Jamboree

Monday, August 11th, 2008

The Wildcats took the field on Saturday morning as they participated in the 2008 AC Reynolds Soccer Jamboree.

The Cats faced Owen High School in the first match and North Henederson HS in their second match. The Cats took both matches behind strong play from senior mid-fielder and NCISAA All-State performer David Wood and mid-fielder John Ruhl. Both David and John will be asked to lead the team this year and if their performance on Saturday was any indication, they are up to the task.

In addition to the strong performances by David and John, Sam Alexander had a very solid showing.

More to follow on the Cats…

Soccer Team Scrimmages Tomorrow

Friday, August 8th, 2008

The 2008 Wildcat Soccer team participates in the AC Reynolds Soccer Jamboree tomorrow morning at the Lewis Soccer Complex in East Asheville. The Cats will face the Warhorses of Owen High School at 830am on Field 1. They will also face the Knights of North Henderson HS at 1030am on the same field.

Although the team has only a few days of practice under their belt, the AC Reynolds Jamboree provides a wonderful opportunity for our players not only to sharpen their skills but also meet and greet schools they traditionally do not compete against.

Hope to see everyone out there!

Wildcats go down in the first round

Saturday, October 20th, 2007

The varsity soccer team hosted Village Christian Academy this afternoon at CDS.  #7 David Wood scored first and the Wildcats led 1-0.  Unfortunately the tides turned and the Knights answered with a goal of their own.  After that goal, the men just couldn’t regain their momentum and lost the game 6-1.  Congratulations to Village Christian who will face #1 St. David’s School on Tuesday.  We must also congratulate Coach Pat and the rest of the team on an incredible season.  They were runners up this year in the CAA Conference and earned the #8 seed in the state tournament.
