Join us this Thursday evening at 630pm in upper school auditorium for a discussion on CDS athletics. We’ll work provide as much information as possible regarding our program and philosophy. The meeting will begin promptly at 630p. Please call if you have any questions.

Members of the XC team will particpate in a 5k this weekend at Montreat College.

The Athletic Department hosts our first coffee talk with members of the CDS community on Tuesday, September 9th at 815a at Greenberry’s coffee shop on Hendersonville Road.

The Varsity Field Hockey match v. Asheville High School has been moved. Originally scheduled for Monday the 8th at 5p, this match is now scheduled for Wednesday, September 10th.

Our away matches v. Asheville Christian Academy scheduled for the 9th of September have been flipped-flopped. We will host ACA on Tuesday rather than traveling to ACA. Game times remain the same except for MS and Varsity soccer. We will begin these matches at 4 and 530p.

The Lady Cats travel to Asheville School this afternoon for a 400p match v. the Blues. The Lady Cats look to be much improved this year as they begin CAA play thanks to new additions and continued solid leadership. We expect big things from this group this year.

The Cats host the Blue Devlis of Brevard HS this afternoon in non-conference soccer action beginning at 430p.

The Cats (0-1, 0-0) fell to Asheville HS earlier this week and look to rebound this afternoon when they face another strong opponent in Brevard.

In spite of their tremendous effort, the Lady Cats fell to the Cougars of Asheville HS in field hockey action by a score of 3-0. The Lady Cats trailed by a score of 2-0 at the end of the first half and were unable to close the gap as Asheville High continued to pressure our back line, adding 1 more goal at the 2nd half mid-point to earn the 3-0 final.

The Lady Cats record now stands at 1-1 overall and 0-0 in the conference.

The Lady Cats hit the road as they traveled to Hendersonville Christian for varsity and junior varsity volleyball action.

The JV team played well and came away with the 2-1 victory to move their record to 1-0 overall and 0-0 in the conference.

The Varsity team played a strong match and took three straight from HCS.

Both the varity and jv volleyball teams travel to Asheville School this afternoon to face the Blues in CAA action - game times at 400p and 500p.

The Cats hit the road this evening as they visit the Cougars of Asheville HS in varsity field hockey. The Cats had a solid victory this week against Freedom HS and look to continue their journey beginning at 630p in the Asheville HS football stadium.
