Nancy Martin BrownHi, folks. Sorry I missed our first reunion ever! What’s been going on in my life since June 6, 1964? Well, after some college, I joined the work force. I spent exactly three years in the insurance industry, four years in the hardware business and retired June of 2003 after 28 years with the South Carolina Department of Transportation. I did marry, briefly (3-1/2 years) in 1970. We had no children. I moved back to South Carolina in the spring of 1975. After graduating from St. Genevieve’s I began to seriously travel on my vacations. I took the “Grand Tour of Europe” right after graduation. My parents had a travel agency for 30 years, and I took full advantage of what they had to offer. One of my favorite trips was a cruise to Alaska in 1992. It was fabulous! I travels back to western North Carolina often while my grandparents were living in that area, but in 1985 they relocated to Columbia, my hometown. Now that I am retired, I am moving into a townhouse I just bought. After 14 years in an apartment, I am thrilled with all of the space I will have. I joined the Presbyterian Church in August of 1991 and love it. I have been heavily involved with the social activities there. We have taken some group trips that I have truly enjoyed. Three years ago our trip to Branson, MO was particularly memorable. Have a great reunion! I would love to hear about it and what’s going on in the lives of SGP ’64 folks. |
