Gail Hill AbernathyTHE LIFE AND TIMES OF GAIL HILL ABERNETHY Sounds important but…pretty normal. Since my retirement I have done some traveling with friends. I have taken a few jobs tutoring children in small groups at a nearby middle school and this year at a nearby elementary school. I am currently working three days a week, five hours a day. I am loving it!! I volunteer at a community theater…no performance, just work the box office. I love to play board games and card games with my teacher friends. We have pulled some all-nighters playing Rummicube. I am too old to be doing this, but what fun! I am anxiously awaiting the birth of my first grandchild. My daughter Allison and her husband are expecting their first child in November. I share my home with two cats left over from my daughters’ childhoods. The old girls are getting old. The gray cat and I have thyroid problems…she lost half her body weight…I did not!! I had to have surgery. The black cat has cancer…I do not share that disease with her. They are good girls and keep me company |
