Ashby MacArthur JonesI don’t even want to consider the fact that we will soon be having a 40th reunion! Can we even be 40 years old? UGH!! I don’t feel that many years yet! Yes, I do live far, far away and rarely get back to Asheville. My parents both died, and we have no one left in Asheville any longer. it’s very sad to me to have lost touch with such a beautiful place. I now live in Helena, Montana with my precious husband of almost 37 years (!). Can that be possible? We have four grown sons and 7-1/2 grandchildren. Ci(je), as many of you might have known him, is a retired Episcopal Bishop, and I am a Charge Nurse of the Helena, MT hospital operating room. Ci practices as a CPA out of our home office, and I trek to the hospital everyday to do what I most love in life. Our oldest son, Chad, is married to a marvelous woman named Terry, and they have two children: Audrey(4) and Charlie (9 months). They live in Oakland, CA where Chad is an economics professor at Berkeley. Court (#2 son) is married to Deena, and they have two sons, Dylan (9) and Tanner (6). They live in Richland, WA where Court works for a chemical supply company. Deric (#3 son) is married to Sheri, and they have an 18 month old son, Isaac, and Deric has an eight-year-old son, Christina, from a previous marriage. Deric is in his second year of ER residency at Duke and plans to go back to Alabama to practice after this third year ends. They are expecting our second granddaughter in May!! Keith (#4 son) is divorced with a 2-1/2 year old son, and they live here in Helena. Keith is an attorney with the State of Montana Department of Environmental Quality. We lead hectic lives and love being here. I truly wish I could help with the reunion and could attend, but that just won’t happen, I’m afraid. Please continue to keep in touch and let me hear of others who return news. I will be happy to keep in touch! If anyone wants to come out west and visit the BIG SKY country, you are very welcome. We have tons of room, lots of motorcycles to ride (ah, yes!! I do that! AND have tattoos as well. None very visible, however), and beautiful places to visit. All love to each of you in our class. I wonder about
you all!!! |
