Ann Connor Cummings JonesDear Precious Friends, If you only knew how many times thoughts of each of
you have gone through my mind over the years! Every now
and then, I’d get out my annual and look at the
photos of us…Lord…and I thought I was fat
then! The years have not been kind…Field Day,
study hall, substitute teachers that we tormented, the
nuns…Wasn’t it fun? I thought it was! Of
course, it never crossed my mind that I was NOT
supposed to be happy. I loved Well, I still take forever to tell a story, so I won’t bother you with all the details right now. This has been such a busy summer…Hardly had time to think! Got married (the first time for each of us) at the ripe old age of 46 and Doug was 47. We just celebrated our 12th anniversary and are very happy. I have five nephews and one niece. Sorry to tell you girls, but she is my carbon copy! She’s very much prettier and organized at her age than I was at that age. Her mother says she may have given her birth, but that she’s my child. Of course, that thrills me to death! But that’s another story! All these children are my heart and each of them know it! I’ve always felt so very blessed to have these children. There was a time that I thought I’d die if I didn’t get married and have children…Then I thought I’d die if I did! Sorta got stuck being a “happily single” aunt…but, of course, Doug changed all that! I absolutely cannot wait to see each of you! We’re going to have so much fun! Lots and lots of warm wishes to you. |
